Position Overview
Family Planning Council, a large, well-regarded not-for-profit human services agency in downtown Philadelphia, is seeking an experienced Director of Development. The Director will manage the private fundraising efforts with individuals, foundations and corporations. The Director’s primary Responsibilities will include:
- Design, implement and manage all fundraising activities, including annual giving, donor cultivation, donor relations and various other fundraising activities.
- Plan, facilitate and support the efforts of the Executive Director and Board members in building donor relations.
- Work with program staff to assist in research, development and proposal writing for foundations and corporate support.
- Monitor grants compliance and reporting requirements.
- Supervise the writing, layout and design, editing and production of all development materials.
- Develop and maintain fundraising content on the Council’s website(s)
- Provide support to the Funds Development Committee and staff support the Board.
- Hire and supervise Development Department Staff
Requirements- Must have Bachelor’s degree. CFRE certification preferred
- 5-7 years progressive experience in fundraising and development.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience.
- Experience working in a team based environment.
